Postman supports websockets in beta

Postman announced that it now supports WebSocket APIs and it is currently available in public beta with Postman v8.5 and above. This means Postman is now entering the world of asynchronous APIs.

Postman is a collaboration platform for API development. Postman's features simplify each step of building an API and streamline collaboration so you can create better APIs—faster. Postman already handled REST, SOAP, and GraphQL queries and with this update it adds WebSockets to the list. Support for the WebSocket protocol was one of the most popular feature requests from the Postman community.

In the latest version of Postman, you can now hit the “New” button in the left sidebar and open a WebSocket Request tab. In this tab, you can input your WebSocket API URL, establish a connection, then send and receive messages seamlessly.
